Ash’s ‘Salaam’ This Sunday

Ash may be looking hot in the promos of ‘Dhoom 2’ but the film that she is banking on in a big way is J P Dutta’s ‘Umrao Jaan’ an adaptation of the famous Urdu Novel by Rusva. Obviously the comparisons with Rekha will be there for she has already immortalized Umrao in Muzaffar Ali’s Magnum Opus. And the first biggest test is this Sunday when the first song ‘Salaam’ from the music album of new ‘Umrao Jaan’ will start airing on the small screen.

It has been confirmed that ‘Umrao Jaan’ is all set to release on November 13th and it shall be avoiding the collision course with ‘Don’ and ‘Jaanemann’. Khayyam’s music in the first version is the stuff of classics. It remains to be seen how good Anu Malik’s score is. What’s your take….Who makes a better Umrao….Ash or Rekha?
